Summary: "Dirty" flag for dimap folders in order to speed up the
                    synchronization
           Product: kmail
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kmail-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: macberry mail ru

Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

The synchronization takes quite a long time with disconnected imap. I was thinking \
about a simple system of tracing all the changes the user makes locally and \
synchronize only the folders that were touched by an action.

We could make it even better: if we added a checkbox "Don't check this folder for new \
mail" to every dimap folder, kmail wouldn't even touch some folders (in fact, the \
majority of folders in my case).

This functions would be really useful for "Archive" kind of folders, where you store \
the messages manually, but the server never delivers directly to them.

There has been a thread about it on kde-pim. You can check for example:
