(this looks like bug 46519 which is supposed to be closed)
When acessing Opening) a large hierarchy of mailboxes (600+) via IMAP (in this case \
dovecot), kmail crashes with the 'too many open files'  message, and opens hundreds \
of subwindows complaining about this fact in the process. \
