I agree with the idea of making a generic jail system. To do it properly may not be \
simple (per se), potentially requiring system-level hooks for read-only mounting of \
drives/partitions/loop-backs, for example. A generic model certainly has substantial \
benefit across several parts of the KDE framework, especially involving untrusted \
code from the internet.
If a generic framework for secure jailing of executables were developed, kmail would \
certainly be one of the more practical applications of it. \
