"Compacting" is what will re-write the mbox so that the expired mails are removed \
from it. Basically you'd like "expiring" to be followed by "compacting" every time.
Now that both are background tasks, this basically happens that way, when things
run in the background (since compacting is scheduled right after expiring, every 4 \
hours).

But not when using the menuitem to expire a folder. This seems to indicate that
I should "compact" right after "expire" for the GUI actions. Anyone against that?
