------- Additional Comments From summer computerdatasafe com au 2004-05-11 10:59 \
------- As of right now I'm on 1.6.2 (upgraded yesterday) and unable to send mail.

I have four messages in my outbox. I click "File/Send queued messages."

There's one message: "Failed to send (some) queued messages."

How am I to discover the problem with so little information?

There is nothing I can see wrong with the emails queued to go.

My mail relay is my firewall box: it produces no messages when I try to send mail. \
OTOH, when I'm in the network settings Security, clicking "Check what the server \
supports" does produce messages - from the kernel about packets being dropped.

I _can_ telnet to the firewall's smtp port:
summer Dolphin:~$ telnet fw 25
Trying 192.168.7.254...
Connected to fw.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 fw.computerdatasafe.com.au ESMTP Postfix (Debian/GNU)
quit
221 Bye
Connection closed by foreign host.
summer Dolphin:~$

As far as I can see the configuration is correct, and it did work earlier today. \
Possibly it went awry when I added a new profile so as to give myself a new from: \
address. _______________________________________________
