"Fixed" doesn't necessarily mean that it's fixed in the latest public 
release. Many fixes go into the development branch and will be made public 
with the next feature release. Only critical fixes get backported to the 
maintenance branch.
In case of KMail you have a good chance on a next feature release soon, see
