- I don't know the server/version. I tried to telnet on port 110 but it doesn't show any info, and I don't know how to get the version.

- account configuration is standart pop3:
host: pop.hotpop.com
login: user hotpop com
port: 110
encryption: none
authentication: clear text

- no pop filter

Hotpop offers free pop3 accounts.
The easiest would be for you to make a free pop3 account on www.hotpop.com.
It takes 1 minute.
