I partially figured out how to solve this problem. For one, I think that mapping the \
letter "K" to "Select All Message in Folder" is a bad idea as it breaks the existing \
global use of "K" which is to scroll to previous available text. With that letter \
unmapped in KMail (KDE 3.2) the message can now be scrolled up and down with the jk \
keys.

In KMail, there is a mapping for "next unread text" which is mapped to "SPACE", but \
there is not an coorelated one for "previous unread text" which would naturally map \
to "SHIFT-SPACE".

In short, take away the default mapping for "K" and add a mapping for "previous \
unread text" and set it as "SHIFT-SPACE" by default and this bug can be closed. \
