Summary: hjkl keys in preview pane
           Product: kmail
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Mandrake RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kmail-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: dan mojavelinux com

Version: unknown (using KDE 3.1.0)
Installed from: Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker
Compiler: gcc version 3.2.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.1 3.2.2-3mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.22-10mdk

In Konqueror, the "hjkl" keys can be used for scrolling and when combined with the \
SHIFT key, actually exhibit a smooth scroll feature (I love that feature!). However, \
not all of these keys work in correctly in the KMail preview pane, and I say "not \
correctly" since some of the keys work and others don't.

The "j" works fine, but then then the "k" selects all message in the message list. \
Hence, you can scroll down but not up. To remain consist, I would expect the keys \
that work the same in the preview pane of KMail as they do in Konqueror. Combined \
with the shortcut key for "Next Message", which is "n", a user could read mail \
without having to use the mouse at all once the preview pane had focus. \
