I encountered the same problem. After installing the new KDE 3.2 I couldn't connect to my \
E-Mail-Server with authentication. It worked fine with the old version of kmail (I'm not sure \
about the old version number, the one that came together with KDE 3.1)

First I tried to fix this problem my self by changing Encryption and Authentication Method.
"Check what the Server supports" works, but after using these settings it didn't work eather.
What happened to this new version? How can I fix this problem or is it a bug, that came \
together with 1.6? _______________________________________________
