Summary: KMail starts checking new messages after pressing any
                    key
           Product: kmail
           Version: 1.6
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kmail-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: cepl surfbest net

Version: 1.6 (using KDE 3.2.0, (3.0))
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.4 20011002 (Debian prerelease)
OS: Linux (i586) release 2.4.24

This is strange: when checking new messages on dIMAP account, everything go well, but \
when I then press _any_ key (like Grey-[+] to get to new unread message) KMail (1.6 \
on KDE 3.2 with Debian/woody; the only plugin loaded is Aegypten PGP+S/MIME \
libraries) reacts as if I press Ctrl-L and begins to check emails again, which is \
even more disheartening when I am disconnected from the Internet (I am connected to \
the Internet via dial-up). There apparently does not seem to be any other way how to \
stop this behavior, then quit and restart KMail.

Is it possible, that you have any idea, what could be the reason?

Matej
