oh, i forgot the debugging message on konsole:

QObject::connect: No such slot KMReaderWin::slotSaveMsg()
QObject::connect:  (sender name:   'unnamed')
QObject::connect:  (receiver name: 'unnamed')

indeed, kmreaderwin is missing this slot.
