This problem still persists. I have kmail in my startup programs under
Gnome / Red Hat Fedora Core 1 (Yarrow). And I usually exit the desktop
while the program is still running. Unless I *close* kmail before exiting
the desktop, the next time it runs (on login) there are numerous "no subject"
phantom messages in *all* folders (incoming, outgoing, drafts, trash).
