Summary: Subscription dialog usability suggestions
Product: kmail
Version: 1.5.93
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kmail@kde.org
ReportedBy: zander@kde.org
Version: 1.5.93 (using KDE 3.1.93 (CVS >= 20031028), compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 20031005 (Debian prerelease)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21
Hi,
first of all; why is the subscription dialog modal (can't access kmail until closed) \
? I suggest to disable the KAction as soon as the dialog opens and enable it again \
when it is closed; thus disabling it from opening twice.
There appears to be a bug either with your list or the Qt one; there is only one \
column and when a new entry is added the column should grow to allow that column to \
be visible. This growing appears to not take into account the checkbox that is in \
front of each row since the longest entries are cut off. (it might also be the tree \
'lines' instead of the checkbox)
is it possible to make the first column 100% width?
I think it is usefull to show a little text at the top of the dialog like 'Manage the \
mail folders you want to show from remote mailserver %1'.
Please allow the lists on the right to be multi-select lists so I can (un)subscribe \
multiple entries at the same time.
Please make 'reload list' button disabled while the list is reloading.
