Summary: No gpg-mantra request from kmail when trying to send
                    signed/encrypted mail
           Product: kmail
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kmail@kde.org
        ReportedBy: krienke@uni-koblenz.de

Version: 1.5.4 (using KDE 3.1.4)
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 3.3 20030226 (prerelease) (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-4GB

Since kamil 1.5.4 after an upgrade from KDE 3.1.3 to 3.1.4 I can no longer sign or \
enctrypt messages which worked well with kde 3.1.3. The problem is, that kmail does \
nor ask for a gpg mantra (password, secret) and then displays a message box saying, \
that the mail could not be signed/encrypted since there was no password to do so. So \
whats missing is the kmail (for me pinentry-qt) dialog to enter the gpg secret. For \
the same reason I am now unable to decrypt encrypted mails (no chance to give a \
password).

gpg-agent is running in the background as a daemon. My system is a suse8.2 with kde \
3.1.4 from SuSE, gpg 1.2.2rc1. I am using the crypto plugin \
/usr/lib/cryptplug/gpgme-openpgp.so and pinentry version 0.6.8 (kmail internal \
encryption does not work either). ~/.gnupg/gpg-agent.conf looks like this:

pinentry-program /usr/bin/pinentry-qt
no-grab
default-cache-ttl 3600
