KMail's functionality is pretty big, and while it's already support message threading, many protocols etc, why not to have an NNTP transport support? I use KMail an KNode usually, and switching to the KNode is confusing (IMHO), because the user should use different keyboard navigation (KNode's "emulate KMail keyboard" is not the clue) and so on.
