This is most bizarre. I haven't noticed anything abnormal apart from KMail. I 
installed RedHat 9 at the beginning of the summer, and haven't fooled around 
with anything complicated. Just basic use. 
 
I am not a Linux expert, just switched from Windows, and I am feeling a bit at 
a loss here. Any hint about what to check next would be greatly appreciated!
