Jeffrey, thanks for your bug report, but I'm unable to reproduce those crashes with the 
current development version of kmail, and unfortunately the backtraces you sent are 
useless, as they contain no kmail debugging symbols. Are you still seeing these crashes 
with kmail 1.5.3, if you have updated to that yet, or can you recompile kmail with 
debugging symbols and get us a new backtrace, please?
