Summary: Mail composition not saved in drafts/ when signal
                    received
           Product: kmail
           Version: 1.5.2
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kmail@kde.org
        ReportedBy: nick@byu.edu

Version: 1.5.2 (using KDE 3.1.2)
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (release)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20

I was running kmail remotely (X11 forwarded over ssh), and composing an email \
message. There was a long network timeout which caused the X server/ssh client to \
disconnect. Later, running kmail, I discovered that the message wasn't saved \
anywhere--and it was a _long_ message :(

IMO it should have been saved to drafts, or to some emergency save folder if it was \
already opened from a message in the drafts folder (since the user hasn't requested \
that one to be overwritten yet).

I believe that there are probably many other situations that will cause kmail to exit \
that should still allow messages, changes to folders, other state changes, etc. to \
still be correctly saved. I think I've probably encountered some of these in the \
past as well--but none specific come to mind right now. \
