When i try to configure Kmail, I click on apply and then save, when I go back and restart kmail, it goes back to the defaults and the settings I have set are gone. It is not saving the settings I set. as an example. 
when I set it to load external attachments from the internet, it returns to no external attachments. Same for when I tell it not to thread messages. ditto for show html bar. 

strange stuff. It happens every time. It seems like it is not saving the settings I set.
