I'm not sure why a KMultipleDrag is necessary. You can inherit from 
QDragObject, override format(int) and encodedData(const char*) and 
provide static canDecode(const QMimeSource*) and decode(const 
QMimeSource*,Foo&) methods. See e.g. identitydrag.{h,cpp}.
