I have been running a great KDE 2.2.2 on RedHat 7.1/2 and now I want to 
step up to RedHat 9 and its KDE 3.whatever. I don't have a lot of UI 
customizations to carry along so I can spend an evening twiddling knobs 
if the RH upgrade makes muck of it. I seem to recall RH does a better 
upgrade than fresh install so I figure I should be ok there. I also seem 
to recall moving from I would _least_ like to fiddle with KMail since I 
have a pretty nice setup, but I would at some point like to convert from 
mbox to maildir format. I also use Konqueror and Knode a lot and lately 
KSpread.

Are there any things to consider or prepare before starting?
