Summary: configuration not updated while in composer
           Product: kmail
           Version: 1.5.2
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kmail@kde.org
        ReportedBy: steffen.moeller@med.uni-rostock.de

Version: 1.5.2 (using KDE 3.1.2)
Installed from: (testing/unstable)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3 (Debian)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20

I wanted to encrypt my mail and kmail rightously asked me to first define my key.
The "configure kmail" item was selected from the composer settings menu. I clicked me \
through to the right key within the modify identity window, pressed ok multiple times \
but still I could not send the email with kmail complaining I'd not have done what I \
just did.

I closed the composer and found the key assigned in the settings opened from the main \
kmail window. Pressed all the ok buttons again, opened the composer again and now the \
click on the lock for getting the mail encrypted just worked fine.

The bug (to me) is that the reopening of the composer was apparently necessary.
