Summary: incorrect message starting position for imap folders
                    when using 'date up/down'
           Product: kmail
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kmail@kde.org
        ReportedBy: khindenburg@cherrynebula.net

Version: 1.5.2 (using KDE KDE 3.1.2)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc 3.2.2
OS: Linux

I've noticed this behavior with IMAP folders as well as the local trash folder. The \
folder is sorted by 'Date UP-arrow' or 'Date Down-arror'. When you click on a \
folder, the highlighted message will be in the middle of the list of emails. All of \
the emails are correctly sorted in the correct order. For some reason upon entering \
a folder, the top email message is not selected. I've noticed this on 1.5.1 and now \
1.5.2. I don't think it is an IMAP only thing because I've seen the same behavior on \
the local trash folder.

For a snapshot checkout http://www.cherrynebula.net/kmail01.png (200k).

The problem here is the incorrect starting position.

Note that whenever there is already a 'read' message in the folder, the correct \
message will be highlighted upon selecting the folder. \
