It seems that the plugin gets wrong data from KMail. Please set the 
following environment variable

  export KMAIL_DEBUG_READER_CRYPTO=1

and then start kmail (in the same shell). KMail will then write some 
files whenever the crypto plugins are used. As the files are 
overwritten each time the plugins are used you have to make copies of 
those files. Reproduce the problem and then compare the files. Please 
make unified diffs (diff -u) of the files.
