This is no crash. It's not even a serious bug. 
 
Furthermore, I don't think that this in an easy one. If KMail's kernel is in the middle of shutting 
down then it would be very difficult to stop this process. Instead we should probably not allow 
any new instances of KMail do be loaded during shutdown. This would be easy to fix.
