Summary: change in behaviour: forwarded messages
           Product: kmail
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kmail@kde.org
        ReportedBy: osnut@pacbell.net

Version: 1.5 (using KDE KDE 3.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Prior to version 1.5, forwarding a message would place the body of the message to be forwarded as the \
body of the new message; after the update, forwarding a message causes the original message to be \
inserted as an attachment.

I don't see anything documenting this as "new & expected behavior", so if it is, how do I turn it off? \
[I want to EDIT the contents of what I'm forwarding -- often I'm sending stuff from one mailing list to \
another and I want to drop the "automatic footers" of the original message because they obviously don't \
apply to the "other" list...]

hmmm... last minute check -- I *just now* noticed a small black triangle indicating that the "forward" \
button has alternate actions -- ok, I do see "forward inline" and I see that it does "do what I want", \
but even though it is the first item in the sub menu, it doesn't appear to be the default [I've \
downgraded this from "bug" to "wishlist", but I'm surprised the developers didn't think of this -- any \
time you allow a button to have "multiple personalities", SOMEONE isn't going to like what you pick as \
the "default" -- there should be a way for the end user to specify which form of "forwarding" should be \
the default] _______________________________________________
