------- Additional Comments From mchapman@cyberone.com.au 2003-01-30 14:53 -------
I am running Kmail under Caldera 2.4, KDE vsn 1.1.2 (ancient, I know), and
started getting this problem just today. There is no process running with PID
1795, there is no file ~/.kde/share/apps/kmail/lock, and 'killall kmail' just
returns the message "kmail: no process killed".

Yesterday Kmail was asking me for my password twice while downloading EMail, and
trying to delete some messages or even just read some others resulted in Kmail
abending. Everything was OK until I had to change my POP and SMTP server name
("Just use our new number" my ISP said. "Doesn't work" "Oh, BTW, our new
server names are..." "Still doesn't work" "Did we tell you the new IP
addresses?")

Thanks for your time.

(apologies if I've posted this comment twice)
