I am running Kmail 1.5 with Maildir folders and have been bitten by this bug. Since 
Maildir messages are removed from the folder when moved or deleted, and the 
filename encodes whether the message has been replied to, it should be possible 
to reindex a corrupted Maildir index. Grepping the Maildir shows that the invisible 
messages are present in the folder.
