It is wrong, because the message must only be set to \Seen, when the body is 
fetched and not when the headers are fetched.

Besides that, you better send a bug report to the authors of the server and 
tell them about section 6.4.5 in RFC2060 before hacking a workaround in KMail 
that reduces the performance for all non broken servers.
