I have noticed now that the described behaviour happens only when
I use Ctrl-V or Shift-Insert to insert the text, if I use 3rd button of the 
mouse, it works as it should.
I'm about to compile KDE3.1 rc1, but it will take some time, so if you
try also these inserting methods, I'll be glad.
