My spamblock rules are set up to move caught spam directly into the folder "spamblock". Whenever procmail did that, and the folder was emptied manually before, it may or may not show new mail in that folder. 

Additionally, even if I cleared mail from that folder without right clicking and selecting "empty folder", when new mail arrives, all originally deleted mail from that folder is magically back. Plus newly arrived mail.
