Development methods are not a small issue, especially in the case of 
volunteers, for whom enjoying the development method might be the only 
payback from KMail development.

Yes, yes I do.  KMail is so stagnant (save for the BSI development) that 
there is no bugfixing improvement.  All adding more developers will do is  
run into Brooks' law: a further slowdown in development.
