Subject: Bug#47156: wrong number of mails reported when checking
From: william.stephenson () ncl ! ac ! uk

Package: kmail
Version: KDE 3.0.7 CVS/CVSup/Snapshot
Severity: normal
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: gcc 3.2
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified
Using CVS of 27/08/02, I notice that KMail reports the wrong number of mails when \
checking my accounts.
I have 2 receiving accounts set up, one local mailbox (default), and one APOP. I \
can't see any difference in behaviour between the two but it may be relevant.
When I check either account (excluding the first check after starting KMail), the \
number of mails at the PREVIOUS check iff the contents of the mailbox changed is \
reported.
e.g.: I check my mbox, and retrieve 13 mails, 10 minutes later I check my APOP and it \
says 13 new messages, but nothing arrives in my folders. 10 minutes after that, I \
check and there is "0 new messages", but one new message in my inbox...
HTH. I had a look on kde-cvs since the 27th but couldn't see any related fixes.
