Another solution would be to define two copies of every POP account. One 
copy which filters on the server (for usage at home) and one copy which 
simply downloads all message (for usage at work).

That's a good idea. Unfortunately we are already in feature freeze for 
KDE 3.1. Please resubmit your patch (as cvs diff against HEAD, see 
below) after the release of KDE 3.1.
This "Locations" feature could also be used for IMAP accounts and for 
outgoing SMTP accounts. In the account configuration the user could 
then select the locations on which this account should be used.

Some formalities:

1.) Please add the following line to your ~/.cvsrc:
diff -u3 -p
This will make your patches much better readable.

2.) Always make your patches against the HEAD branch. Making a patch 
against an older branch isn't a good idea because if your patch doesn't 
apply without conflicts on HEAD then we won't bother to review it 
because this would cost too much time.
