BTW: I also was still not able to get this running.

I don't manage to get the mentioned packages from GnuPG CVS compiled because 
autogen.sh produces a not working configure script.

Using the latest tar balls of the required packages and configuring the plugin 
results in KMail always crashing when selecting a PGP/MIME signed mail.
