Subject: Bug#46009: KMail does not accept certificates forever
From: smaug () pobox ! com
Date: 2002-07-31 23:31:11
[Download RAW message or body]
Package: kmail
Version: KMail 1.4 (Using KDE 3.0.0) (using KDE 3.0.0 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: gcc 2.95.3
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Kernel 2.4.16
When connecting via SSL to a pop server kmail
complains that
"The IP address of the host pop3.nexgo.de does not match the one the \
certificate was issued to." That's probably true, However, when I'm asked
if I'd "like to accept this certificate forever without being prompted?", i \
check "forever", but in the next KMail session I'm prompted again.
The bug database says - among other things - the bug (#33605) is fixed in \
KDE 2.2.2. Well...
