Redirect is a very old feature.

As redirect, as I understand it, should simply, well, redirect the 
message as-is to another email address, the message shouldn't be opened 
in the composer at all (and then it wouldn't be signed of course).

IMO KMail should simply ask for the address(es) the message should be 
redirected to and then send the message to the new recipients without 
changing anything.
