Package: kmail
Version: 1.4.1 (using KDE 3.0.1 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker
Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Mandrake Linux 8.2 2.96-0.76mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18-6mdk
OS/Compiler notes:

I enjoy kmail a lot and use it daily. I like to store important messages, so that my \
~/Mail/ folder has grown quite large now. I would like to be able to find all \
messages in a given date range (say from 1999) and put them in a given file (or on a \
CD for instance). The messages might be all together in the same archive folder, or \
in a recursive directory structure reflecting the one they were in originally. Then, \
when I need to find an old mail, I could add an archive main folder (toplevel in the \
listview ?) from the file that I'd select in a filedialog, and it would appear side \
by side with the contents of ~/Mail/.

I am aware that this is probably non trivial, but otherwise how can you prevent your \
home from growing indefinitely, which sysadmins usually dislike :-) ?
