Correction: 
it seems previousdescription was not 100% correct.
I couldn't reproduce bug with kde-cafe list, but reproduced it wehn entered 
konq-bugs mailing list, and deleted SPAM message from today (30.04.2002) with 
subject "fw: darling"
 After hitting Delete key, my KMail 1.4 immediately crashed
