Hi there,
I am wondering if there is any trick to configuring kmail
to use SSL encrpyted imap connections to an MS exchange
server. I am using the kmail 3.0.0 that comes with kdenetwork
and the OS is Solaris 8. When it tries to connect I get a
"Could not connect to host" error message. I configured it
to use port 993 which I know is the port the exchange server
is using. Snooping the network I see kmail connecting to the
port, but obviously I can't see what is going on. I know the
server is working because I can connect to it with Netscape's
mail client using SSL.

I also know that the server uses a private certificate authority,
of which I loaded into the KDE control center.

An ldd of kmail doesn't show the openssl libs. Shouldn't it?
