For consistency it would be nice to have the same functionality in KMail. Now, this obviously poses a problem when messages are not displayed as threads. Maybe, in that case Ctrl+D should not be available or we could pop up a message box on first usage asking the user if he wants Ctrl+D to delete whole threads even when messages are not shown as threads. Another question is whether Ctrl+D should delete the *whole* thread or only all messages below and including the marked message.
