From kmail-devel Thu Feb 28 22:41:34 2002 From: Volker Augustin Date: Thu, 28 Feb 2002 22:41:34 +0000 To: kmail-devel Subject: Re: RFC: Detecting omitted attachments X-MARC-Message: https://marc.info/?l=kmail-devel&m=101493650120855 IMO the search strings should better be configurable. Something like the selection criteria in the filters dialog. People are not only sending attachments to mailing lists. And for those other mails we cannot assume, that the language is English. Also, Marc's "[PATCH]" assumption is only valid for mailing lists. Actually, this is a very special case of a filter applied to all *outbound* mails. It checks for certain conditions (keywords and missing attachment) and performs an action (popup a dialog). Just an afterthought for the distant future: Think of data sources, data sinks and streams connecting them. This represents the KMail data streams. It would be nice to have a way to insert filters *into* those streams that perform certain actions based on certain conditions. Lots of things could then easily be implemented as "filters" (which in turn could be implemented as plugins).
