OS/Compiler notes: 

messages can disappear when an attempt is made to move them from one mail folder to another, if the destination folder is on an imap server, and there is a connection failure to the server.

in attemptingto repoduce this behaviour there is no consistency in how many messages will disapear (can be from zero, to all messages being moved)
