Package: kmail
Version: 1.3.1 (using KDE 2.2.1 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.10-4GB
OS/Compiler notes:

To be able to use Kmail as a reader for Mailinglists I find it absolutely important \
to have a possibity to watch threads. I know that one can flag a message but this is \
a pretty primitive feature (the flag even goes away when one replies to a message) \
and not exactly the same as watching a thread eg. in Outlook Express, Netscape \
Messenger, or Knode. Here is a (hopefully) complete description of all the features \
                that I want:
- Watched threads should be highlighted
  (preferably colored red as seen
eg. in the news reader that is part of
  Outlook Express).
- Watched threads that contain unread
  messages should be highlighted again
(preferably by using bold face as seen in
  the Outlook Express news reader).
- Watched threads should appear above all
other messages in a folder if desired (this
feature can be seen in the email part of
Outlook Express and I find it to be very
practical). In that way they can be easily
found. What I don't like are filters as in
Knode since one always has to switch back
and forth between all messages and the
  filtered ones.
- Folders that contain unread replies to
  watched threads should be highlighed
(eg. in red as in the Outlook Express
  newsreader).
