Because with 3.0 every linux user and 95% of all other unix users are going 
to see the light and convert to KDE, that's why :-)  And behold! They shall 
come down from the mountains of the wilderness, and be enlightened! And 
verily, some shall reply to the greeting message and our lists shall be 
smitten mightily!  And behold again! That verily, I have not gotten enough 
sleep lately.... ;-)
