Ahh, thanks for the explanation.  I understand now.  What you are asking for 
isn't so terribly different from what we have right now in the 3.0beta, 
right?  If you don't have a reference, there is a screenshot of my trash 
folder at http://spurs.myinternetplace.net/~rob/kmail.screenshot.jpg .  Even 
more interesting, there is an email there which is only 723 Bytes, and it is 
shown with only the B character for the field type, instead of .723 KB.

However, this whole thread started with the suggestion that we _remove_ the 
field name from the row data, putting it at the top of the column only.  What 
do you think of that suggestion?
