Subject: Bug#35571: "notify" filter action causes crash.
From: duskglow2000 () yahoo ! com

Package: kmail
Version: 1.3.1 (using KDE 2.2.0 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified
This is a stock redhat 7.2 RPM distribution. Very little additional software has \
been installed on the machine, and the only additional theme loaded was the LIQUID \
theme by mosfet.
Since this is a stock one, there is no debugging information. I realize how helpful \
this, but I really don't want to go through the trouble of recompiling unless it's \
*absolutely* necessary.
Anyway, I create a stock filter. my scorefile has the following text and it works. \
(I will leave out the email address, please email me privately if you think it will \
help)
<?xml version = '1.0'?><!DOCTYPE Scorefile ><Scorefile>
<Rule expires="never" linkmode="AND" name="laura" >
<Group name=".*" />
<Expression expr="REMOVED" neg="0" type="CONTAINS" header="From" />
<Action value="5" type="SETSCORE" />
</Rule>
</Scorefile>
Now if the option for:
<Action value="New email from Laura!" type="NOTIFY" />
is put in just before the SETSCORE one... it crashes right
after the notification occurs (after I click "ok").
I hope this is enough information. As I would like this feature to work (Laura is, \
if you haven't guessed, my girlfriend) and I have a pretty significant background in \
debugging and programming, feel free to ask me anything you need to know. Thanks.
