Subject: Bug#34892: xinerama clipboard drag and drop message
From: Ben.Soares () ed ! ac ! uk

Package: kmail
Version: KMail 1.3.1 (Using KDE 2.2.1-1) (using KDE 2.2.1 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Standard RH7.2 with Roswell RPMs (and recompiled kdelibs, kdebase \
SRPMS --with-xinerama)
I have RedHat 7.2 (pretty much standard) but with the Roswell KDE-2.2.1 RPMs, and \
kdelibs and kdebase recompiled SRPMs with --with-xinerama option.
Using xinerama, when kmail is in the second monitor, dragging a message to a kmail \
folder results in a dialog opening up with the words "Filename for clipboard content" \
(and a text input and "Browse" button). When the folder icon is on the main monitor \
it works fine (if the folder straddles the two monitors, it works if you drag to the \
bit on the left, but not if you drag to the bit on the right!). The folder is not \
being highlighted with the dashed box when it doesn't work.
Actually, could this be a "hardware cursor" problem with XFree86 4.1.0 (Matrox G450 \
with Matrox drivers). Hmm, perhaps I'd better check that first.
Cheers,
Ben
