The button should be next to the sign button (which you seems to have 
since you are able to sign messages).
Try the following:
- - Right-click on the tool bar and select "Configure Toolbars..."
- - Look for the "Encrypt message" action. If it's on the left side then 
move it to the right side (by selecting it and clicking the blue 
right-arrow). After clicking on OK the icon should appear in the 
toolbar. If you don't find this action then your installation is 
probably corrupted. I don't know what you can do in this case. Maybe 
it's just the icon that's missing.

Please don't use this PGP version. It's very buggy. If possible please 
use GnuPG instead (www.gnupg.org).

Well, actually nothing should happen except that the message will be 
marked for encryption (resp. de-marked if it was already marked for 
encryption). The message won't be encrypted before you send it. So 
please try to use your short-cut-key once and then send the message. It 
should now be encrypted.
